Can you change the processor speed in a macbook pro?

My macbook pro has a intel dual core 2.33 ghz processor inside it. I am writing music production and was wondering if I could beef up the processing speed in my macbook pro to handle all of the enormous processing that is required for some of the programs. Can you do that and if so how much would it cost, rougly...Can you change the processor speed in a macbook pro?All the Macbook Pro's CPUs are soldered onto the board. There is no way to replace the CPU or overclock the CPU by any conventional means.
