Can you just change the processor?
i have a celeron D 3.46GHz and i want to change to an Intel Pentium D 805 2.66GHz Dual-Core OEM Processor. (both socket 775) how do i do this? would i spend any additional $$ besides the processorCan you just change the processor? If they are the same socket then you should be fine. Your only additional cost would be a thermal grease which you need to learn how to use it before you change out your processor. Can you just change the processor? It wouldnt have any affect on running windows if you changed ur CPU. I dont believe you need to spend extra cash if you already bought the CPUCan you just change the processor?Well this would really depend on your motherboard and if it would support your new processor. You should always check that out first before you purchase a processor because you may need to purchase a new motherboard and if thats the case you might as well build yourself a whole new computer. Hope that helped! Can you just change the processor?Dear friend, If u r motherboard support the processor pentium D,(It has the same pin number on the socket) u can easily sell u r old processor and by PD processor and fit on it. If u r board does not support this processor u want to change u r mother board also
