Computer Processor?

For some reason my computer processor changes speed sometimes, when i check the system info and click general

from 2.2 Ghz to 1.77 Ghz to 984 Mhz and back, does anyone know how to make my comp stay at its highest speed?Computer Processor?assuming it is a desktop, i would say get a new, bigger heat sink

if your running the stock one, it may be too small, and therefore wont disperse enough heat, so the CPU slows itself down to reduce the heat output

just dont forget the thermal paste, or you will fry the CPU
