How to match bios setting when converting the processor from 1.6GHZ to 2.4GHZ?

I have compaq P iv Evo D310v having processor of 1.6GHZ. I have upgraded the system by changing the processor of 2.4GHZ. Now the computer at the time of starting message appears that bios settings did not match and for starting the computer i have to press F1. canu please tell me how to match the bios settings.How to match bios setting when converting the processor from 1.6GHZ to 2.4GHZ?did you reset your bios? clear your cmos and see if it will change.How to match bios setting when converting the processor from 1.6GHZ to 2.4GHZ?well you would need to alter the FSB the clock inside the bios settings for that cpu, you would also need to know exactly what motherboard you have to get the motherboard manual from the manufactures website.

if you dont know what motherboard you have you can do start -run type in dxdiag and on system information contains the motherboard code put that into google and get the manual
