When I click on a document, it opens with Notepad, which I

don't rate - it is inconsistant, quirky, and to be honest - rubbbish. I want it to open Word Pad. How do I change the

default word processor?Default word processor?Right click any document, and choose %26quot;Open With...%26quot; and then %26quot;Choose Program%26quot; (even if WordPad is on the list).

Then, select WordPad from the list (if it isn't in the list, click Browse and find it.)

Then check the box that says: %26quot;Always use the selected program to open this kind of file%26quot;

Click OK and you're done.Default word processor?Right click on the document you want to open, then choose %26quot;open with%26quot;

Browse to c:\windows\system32\write.exeDefault word processor?Notepad...rubbish. Blasphemy!Default word processor?If you know that your documents were created in note pad, you should click on word pad from your asserories in all programs. Once you are there, make sure the file type is in the text mode than retrieve the document. When you are finish with the document, save it.

Remember you have to select the write program when creating text files. Notepad isn't a wordprocessor file. This program is designed for notations. Normally, programmers use this program for documentation.

Wordpad is just a mini wordprocessor file, It normally designed to be use for screen shots. But if you are comfortable of using this program then select it from all programs in accessories.

Just remember always create your documents in the appropriate programs.
