I'm Doing a project on "Computer Hardware", what should I add and which should i talk about first?

I'm trying to talk about

[How to upgrade you're PC, like changing Rams, Processor, adding Video Cards, AGP cards, Sound Cards,]

[The difference between LCD Monitors and ol' Fat monitor]

[Input and Outpud Devices- Keyboard, speakers, scanners, printers]

[Primary Storage and Secondary Storage] -is CD Drive a primary storage? I'm not sure about that

So the bottom line is that I think there's sumthing missing, wat else should i talk about? and what should i talk about first then at last...

ThxI'm Doing a project on %26quot;Computer Hardware%26quot;, what should I add and which should i talk about first?hard drive? you should always start talking about the motherboard then go to cpu then ram hard drive then go from thereI'm Doing a project on %26quot;Computer Hardware%26quot;, what should I add and which should i talk about first?Modems, dial up vs DSL, cable.

Depending on how involved your project is, include the history of computers. The first computer, how fast it was, how big, and compare it to today.

Also, back in the day, before the Internet was big, people used to exchange information via BBS, Bulletin board systems.

BTW, a cd drive is not primary storage, your hard drive is the primary. A CD writer could be a back up.

Don't forget tape back-up systems.

You should also include 5 1/4 and 3 1/2 floppies. And, you could compare the size of a modern day 200 Gig drive to a few years ago, then the 1 gig first came out, they were pretty big.

You could go on and on, but hopefully this will give you some ideas.I'm Doing a project on %26quot;Computer Hardware%26quot;, what should I add and which should i talk about first? How about speculating on the future? The hard drive is the last mechanical device left and is the major bottleneck right now. What will replace it? They've been experimenting with biological processors, using living cells rather than switching transistors in CPU's. The list is endless. It boggles the mind to think what a computer might be like 20 years from now.I'm Doing a project on %26quot;Computer Hardware%26quot;, what should I add and which should i talk about first?Nobody is really using AGP anymore. You could talk about the different between AGP and PCIe the new graphic card standared.

Some interesting stuff is really about Buss speed, and how that effects the overall performance of a computer. (I mean if you have a Processor running at 2.4 ghz but a Bus speed running at only 800 Mhz things start to slow down.

Also in on my computer classes the teacher went through how really Hard drives slow the computer down. I don't remember all the math, but the teacher converted everything to like seconds. (so a processor does so many calculations a second) and then converted the seek time on a hard drive to seconds. and it came down to that as your Processor is waiting for the hard drive to seek it ends up being like 2 days later. Something strange like that it was way interesting. (this was on older IDE hard drives, not the new SATA drives).
