How do I change to VGA resolution?

I successfully used a trial version of Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 without any difficulty, so I ordered the software. (not from Adobe, but cheaper form another reliable vendor) However, during the setup process I received the error message %26quot;This program required VGA resolution or higher.%26quot; I have a hp 2.60 gHz Intel Pentium processor; how do I make this change and would it mess anything else up?How do I change to VGA resolution?Like the rest said - ensure that you're running at at least 640x480 with 256 (8-bit) colors. It seems like you're running at some other resolution with just 16 colors, if you can't get it any higher than that you should probably install graphics drivers for your graphics card. If you don't have the special drivers for your card, then you won't be able to change the video mode to what is required, and they'll be set on minimum. How do I change to VGA resolution?Right click your desktop and go to properties.
