What kind of hardware upgrades can you do on a laptop?

Are there specific things you can and can't change like the processor, graphics card etc. Can you do it yourself if so how difficult is it? The RAM of a 512 will cost from 50~100 dollars and a 1gigabyte will cost from 80~120....it is difficult so i think you will need a professionals help...some laptops have on one slot for a RAM or two slot depending on the model.... hope this helped
