This is HP's website. Check it out to see the specs on your motherboard. Depending on your motherboard will depend on what types of processors you can use. The Celeron processor you are using is the cheapest Intel offers. But check the website for support on your model. Can i change the processor in my hp pc?Yes. as long as your motherboard support for higher CPU speedCan i change the processor in my hp pc?check out some overclocking websites

they/some will tell you if your motherboard supports a faster CPU or if you can overclock it and to what limits... look at older forum-postings for older stuff

most manufacturers sites only give the %26quot;safe%26quot; CPU specs so they suck if your willing to overclock
