What kind of process is there to change these processors?

AMD 64 3800 to a 64 X2 4800. Whats the proper procedure for this? I know how to take one out, put one in using thermal grease but what else is there to finalize its installation?What kind of process is there to change these processors?Verify your bios supports 64 X2 4800. You may need newer bios revision.

Hell if their pins are correct then he's right... The hard part about upgrading your Processor is finding a compatable one... after that its as plug and play as anything.What kind of process is there to change these processors?it seems that u need to replace the present motherboard to dual-core processor motherboard. then, it will fit what u need.What kind of process is there to change these processors?Verify that your motherboard has the same socket as the CPU- ie 939 pins versus 940.
