How to change processor setting?

I have an Acer Aspire SA 85 computer with Intel (R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.80GHz processor. One of my software work very slow with this multi processor. How can I change the setting on this multi processor to %26quot;single%26quot; processor? Thank you.How to change processor setting? It probably is not your processor that is causing the problem.

You probably need to install more memory. I don't know what program is giving problems but if everything else is working OK then this particular program needs more memory to run properly.

Good luck and give more detail next time. How to change processor setting?you dont have a multi core procesorHow to change processor setting?actually your pentium D has dual core technology in it. unfortunately im not sure you can turn off the 2nd core. are you thinking that if u turn off the 2nd core it will become 5.6ghz?How to change processor setting?Hi. The main advantage of dual cores is that one can work on one application while the other works on another. Kind of like having two cars in the family. Not using one does not make the other one go faster.
