Actually i got it for free. Please HELPHow to edit MotherBoard BIOS only for to change Processor Speed in startup Please Help? You won't be able to boost a 1.4ghz to a 2.6 ghz - that requires a cpu change. You might be able to adjust the cpu upwards in the bios settings, but be careful! You can toast your cpu and motherboard. You have to do it in slow increments - up a notch - and go with that for a few days. Increasing the rate causes heat, your fans may not be able to cope with it adequately. also puts a strain on your power supply.

If you want to reset the bios back to factory specs - pull out the small battery on the motherboard and then plug it back in.

What bios do you have? AMI or Award? Version number? How to edit MotherBoard BIOS only for to change Processor Speed in startup Please Help?go into the bios, usually by pressing delete or F2 or something like that, then you have to look around for something like clock speed or something like that, also what CPU are you using?
